2nd Opener: Heath Mcnease
Headline Performance: Attaboy
Attaboy is the little indie band that could. Three years of hard work have reaped over 450 performances, 3 CD releases, and 2 successful radio campaigns, all without the help of a major label. Their song "Wait On You" spent 9 weeks on Billboard's Christian CHR Top 30 chart, and "California" is their second and current single released nationwide.
Heath Mcnease: Something strange happened in the swamps of south Georgia. Heath McNease grew up in the sticks. He is a nerd turned theatre major turned rapper turned folk singer turned redneck turned nerd all over again. His approach to music is influenced by so many different styles and textures that finding just one genre for him to neatly rest in is impossible. Growing up, his mom gave him The Carpenters, Simon and Garfunkle, and The Beatles. His brothers gave him gangster rap. Classic rock, blues, and folk would eventually collide with his love for hip hop and...yes...musical theatre. Heath is a fearless lyricist. With his rapid fire, multi syllabic rhymes, unabashedly honest storytelling, and insanely erratic freestyles onstage...he leaves people feeling like they've just connected with a genuine guy.
Obsidian Crush: Born and raised in the Detroit area, these young musicians love to put on energetic live shows. With alternative, punk and rock influences; they are sure to get you moving to the beat. This band of brothers consists of Paul Center on guitar and vocals, Joshua Center on drums, Joe Anstett on bass guitar and Brian Anstett on keyboards. They are very excited to be playing the pro-life youth conference concert for the 4th consecutive year.
