David Bereit

National Director of 40 Days for Life: David helped to start and build a local grassroots coalition that rallied 60 churches and thousands of people together and dramatically reduced abortions in the region. Planned Parenthood recognized the effectiveness of David's efforts when it labeled his town "the most anti-choice place in the nation." David led the first-ever 40 Days for Life campaign in College Station, Texas. He and his wife Margaret have two children, Claire and Patrick.

Elizabeth and Jonathon Brewis

Elizabeth and Jonathon are new parents. Jon is on the Board of The Divine Mercy Center and Elizabeth is a long time volunteer at the Center her mother founded.

Bishop Michael J. Byrnes

Auxiliary Bishop of Detroit: Bishop Byrnes attended University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology. He entered formation at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit and was ordained May 25, 1996, at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Detroit by then-archbishop Cardinal Adam Maida. Byrnes’s passions include participating in marathons and triathlons. Last year, at his encouragement, dozens of seminarians took part in the annual Detroit marathon.

Courage

The mission of Courage is to help men and women with same-sex attraction to know themselves first as children of God and as beloved disciples of Jesus Christ. The primary goal of Courage is to assist those with SSA to live chaste lives, in accordance with the teaching of the Catholic Church.

Marian/Rice Players:

The Marian-Rice Players stage a play each fall and a musical each spring. Outstanding performances in the past have included not only the talent of the actors, but the dedication and skills of the stage crews, costume committees, lighting staffs, production people and many other support groups necessary for excellent theatre.

Matthew Hill

U of D Jesuit: Theology teacher and sidewalk counselor with Helpers of God’s Precious Infants offers his popular pro life apologetics to equip us to respond in charity.

Dan Lawlis

Cartoonist: Dan Lawlis has been a fantasy illustrator for the past twenty years. Recently he has created comic book interpretations of Jonah and the Whale and Daniel in the Lion’s Den. Dr. Monica Miller

Citizens for a Pro Life Society: Dr. Miller is an Associate professor of Theology and Religious Studies at Madonna University and a tireless defender of the unborn.

Ed Rivet

Legislative Director of RTL, Michigan: Ed serves as the liaison between Right to Life and the Michigan Legislature. He has been involved with every piece of pro life legislature in Michigan over the last two decades and a leader against legalizing assisted suicide and embryonic stem cell research in Michigan.

Kathleen Schupbach

A founding board member of Birth Choice Pregnancy Resource Center which opened in the same building as an abortion clinic to offer alternatives to women.

Deacon Gerald Smigell

A deacon from Ss. Cyril & Methodius and a sidewalk counselor with Helpers of God’s Precious Infants, Deacon Smigell shares what he has learned from years of front-line activism, sidewalk counseling and prayer vigils outside abortion clinics.

Howard Weathington

A veteran of six 40 Days for Life campaigns, Howard helps lead other participants in prayer and offers advice on how to talk to people going to abortion clinics. A member of the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Howard believes that abortion is “probably the most important civil rights issue we will ever be confronted with.”

Shannon Wygant

Shannon Wygant is a founder of Birthchoice Pregnancy Resource Center and owner of Home Instead Healthcare.
